What inspires you? Here are my top three inspirations

Ahh… It’s that time, time for a little inspiration! I want to know what inspires you? Or who inspires you? When you are feeling defeated or overwhelmed what or whom do you turn to lift you up to keep you going? One of my favorite sources of inspiration is Jim Carrey. I was pleasantly surprised by the profoundness that I discovered when I watched the video from a 2014 graduation commencement speech. Oh how I would of loved to have been sitting in one of those seats when he delivered this speech! When inspiration makes it way in when least expected… it’s pure magic!  I don’t know about you, but what I didn’t expect was that Jim Carrey famously known for roles such as Ace Ventura, Lloyd Christmas, and Fire Marshall Bill to deliver such inspiration!

I want to share some of my favorite notes of inspiration just from this short clip of the speech (there are more!) I tried to watch more clips from this speech as I prepared for this blog, but this was the only clip I could get to play which told me this was the clip I needed to share.

Here are my favorite notes from this short, but profound, and deeply inspiring clip:

“The effect you have on other’s is the most valuable currency there is.”

What a great reminder that no matter what we spend our time doing if we are intentional in helping others and to benefit others that the reward will be beyond our expectations.

_______________

“You can fail at doing what you don’t want so you might as well take a chance at doing what you love.”

I don’t know about you, but this one hit pretty close to home for me. We spend countless hours working hard and this really made me take a step back and see where I could incorporate what I love more and to pursue what I love more and more which brings to the last but definitely not the least note of inspiration by Jim Carrey.

_______________

“So many of us choose our path out of fear disguised as practicality. What we really want seems impossibly out of reach and ridiculous to expect that we are afraid to ask the Universe for it.”

Now come on tell me I am not the only one who had ambitions that I was too afraid to pursue because I didn’t think it was possible. Watch the video! Enjoy and share with me your favorite note of inspiration by Jim Carrey or from someone who may have inspired you.
